Dear Sir,It's only a few days left before my day! Have you ordered red roses or a gift for your princess yet? Not yet? Do it right here, right now!!!
But let me introduce myself. My name is Valentine. I lived in Rome during the third century. That was long, long ago! At that time an emperor named Claudius ruled Rome. I didn't like Emperor Claudius, and I wasn't the only one! A lot of people shared my feelings.
Claudius wanted to have a big army. Many men just did not want to fight in wars. They did not want to leave their wives and families. This made Claudius furious. So what happened? He had a crazy idea. He thought that if men were not married, they would not mind joining the army. So Claudius decided not to allow any more marriages. Young people thought his new law was cruel. I thought it was stupid!
Gifts/Flowers
Did I mention that I was a priest? One of my favorite activities was to marry couples. Even after Emperor Claudius passed his law, I kept on performing marriage ceremonies - secretly, of course! But one night I was caught. I was thrown in jail and told that my punishment would be death.
I tried to stay cheerful. And do you know what? Wonderful things happened. Lots of young people came to the jail to visit me. They threw flowers and notes up to my window. They wanted me to know that they, too, believed in love. One of these young people was the daughter of the prison guard. Her father allowed her to visit me in the cell. Sometimes we would sit and talk for hours. She helped me keep my spirits up.
On the day I was to die I left my friend a short note thanking her for her friendship and loyalty. I signed it "Love from your Valentine." I believe that note started the custom of exchanging love messages on Valentine's Day. It was written on the day I died, February 14, 269 A.D. Now, every year on this day, people remember me. But most importantly, they think about love. They know that love can't be beaten!
It's my pleasure to connect loving hearts from different parts of the world and make people happy. If you are far away from your lady, just order a present to your beloved one. A2Z Russian Women and its professional staff will help you do this. Please go to the Gifts page or click on "Send A Gift/Flowers" on your lady's profile page. Your Russian lady is not listed in this agency's database? It's not a problem! Just enter xxxxxx in the box for a lady's ID on the Gifts page.
Buying a romantic present is not a bed of roses (although that might be quite original provided you take the thorns out first!).
Flowers,
especially roses,
are probably the most traditional romantic present. Why not have
a bouquet delivered to your princess out of the blue?
Chocolates,
especially heart-shaped ones, always go well.
A Perfume
will add magic to this day. Cute Teddy
Bears might be charming.
Please have a look at these pretty ladies added to the database recently.
